ROSIBEL RAMIREZ

ARTIST STATEMENT

I believe art is the means to translate my feelings and ideas into reality. Art is my tangible expression.

I have used diverse materials throughout my practice, seeking the best way to reveal my inspiration. I find my artwork introspective in a way that always shows traces of my heritage, my multicultural background, where I have lived, and what I have seen or experienced. Art is my open channel for communicating in the universal language of art.

I use glass, an ample palette of vibrant colors, and the heat power to catch vivid moments that will last in time. Every new one-of-a-kind piece presents the interaction between color, line, form, and light.

I apply different techniques, including, but not limited to, multi-layered fused glass. I also incorporate photography into my glass artwork using a mirrorless camera and a laser printer.

I like to think my artwork will have a journey, and people will engage with it, finding their unique artistic experiences.
